Friends, Flowers and Toe Nails

Summer is quite boring this year!!! Except on Saturday when my neighbor and I took our girls, who have become great friends....



To get their toe-nails painted! They had a good time and it went very quick! I hope you can see their toes. They have flowers on their big toes! For $8 what more do we want!



Then we did a little shopping, had lunch together and back home for a nap!

Dieting,uggg!

OK I am updating my diet!!! I was gung-ho with the changing my meals and drinking only water until I had to do it! I am the type that does not have the will power. I want it but I can not do it without someone dragging me to do it. So I was watching the 25th hour of the Today Show the other week and it was talking to and about another great looking member of the Joy Fit Club. Her trick was to not stop with everything she liked cold turkey but to slowly for 30 days at a time cut something out. So this is my new plan. I am on day 11 of water only to drink. NO more soda!! It was very tough, and I craved at first but I didn't budge and now it is a breeze. The kids are even drinking more water than kool-aid=) I will keep you posted=)

Hollywood Babies

I wake up this morning and put the news on to see what gas has jumped to now...
$4.???, and instead of gas being the news it is Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their twin babies arrival. I smile and think thats great=) All reports are that they are all doing fine. However let the bidding war begin. Who is going to get the millions of dollars it is going to cost to be the first to take and submit the pictures for the world to see? Sometimes the money goes to charity, can we be considered as a charity? So I ponder the thought, I can take a good picture! Wait!!! Scott takes pictures and has taken them on movie sets and of actors, he also has taken sports action pics, he has taken concert pics and he has been published in magazines. So here goes my plea to Brad and Angelina.

Dear Mr.Pitt and Mrs.Jolie-Pitt,

I am writing to you today to ask if my husband can be considered to take the first pictures of your babies that everyone wants to see. He is a photographer, you can view some of his work at http://www.carolinasliveonline.com/ As you will see he has experience working with actors, singers, everyday kids-especially our 3 =).
We are a middle income family of 5 living in N.C. Where we live honestly, paycheck to paycheck. We bought our first home in 2004 and although it is not a small house to us,others may think so,we have quickly run out of room with a teenager, pre-teen and a 4yr old =) If you would allow him to take the pictures- we can not offer you the world or anything even remotely close . Once he took the pictures you could let us know what magazine you would really like to have their first pics in and we would negotiate with them. I have heard that you donate the money that you get for your children's first pics to charities close to your hearts, I think that is great! However, can we be considered the charity this time? We have bills out the you know where, well you probably don't know where. There is so many things we would like to do to our home like get a pool for the kids, add on 2 rooms, finish decorating the house, make the yard nice-because the builder didn't care about making the yard nice. The news says these pics could go for millions- we just need a few hundred thousand to pay off the house and do what we would like to our home and put college money away for our kids. If we get anything over 1/2 million we will donate that to your favorite charity or charities. So what do you say?
